Team spirit, care and compassion are at the heart of everything we do, whether donating our services or raising money for worthy causes.
We’re so grateful to be able to live and work within the Sussex community and this includes being able to use our trusted position to support local charities. While we engage in fundraising efforts for terrific organisations such as Roger’s Wildlife Rescue, we love to roll our sleeves up and get involved with direct action too.
StreetVet is an award-winning RCVS registered veterinary service delivering free care to the homeless and their dogs in city centres around the UK. Our very own Roz Wright and Claire Reilly are active members of this group supporting the homeless dogs of Brighton and their grateful owners.
Thinking of Gordon
While the animal-focused work we do is really important, our concern extends to our human counterparts too. After the sudden and devastating loss of our founder Gordon Richards in 2016 from a heart attack, it was decided the installation of a defibrillator outside our flagship Brighton hospital would encapsulate the spirit of care for the community that so defined Gordon. At the forefront of the fundraising effort was vet Roz Wright, who ran two marathons to raise the money for the apparatus, which is a medical asset to the whole local community, centrally positioned just outside the Brighton Clinic reception.
