At New Priory Vets, we have been caring for pets across Sussex for over forty years. Whether you are a pet owner seeking the highest level of general practice treatment, or a referring vet committed to the same level of excellence we are, we can help.
Our RCVS accredited Brighton hospital routine veterinary care alongside referrals and out-of-hours emergency services. Our sister clinic in nearby Peacehaven delivers a comprehensive general practice service for local pet owners.
Seamlessly integrated, we provide premium client service teamed with specialist expertise, ensuring continuity of care for you and your pet.WHY CHOOSE US?
Like everyone else, we have had to make some changes to the way we work in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The aims of these changes are:
- To minimise the risk of transmission between people at the clinic.
- To safeguard provision of 24-hour veterinary care for urgent and emergency cases.
- To continue to provide as full a routine veterinary service as possible for as long as possible.
The main changes are:
We cannot allow clients to enter the hospital.
All our staff wear full personal protective equipment (PPE).
Click here for full information about our response to Covid-19, including what it means for you and your pets.
To relieve pressure on our staff its really helpful if you can use our on line request forms.
Please use our prescription request form if you need more flea or worm treatment, or a repeat prescription for your pet, rather than phoning us.
We are continuing to carry out vaccinations deemed urgent to safeguard animal welfare in the short-term. During January 2021 we are limiting vaccinations to dogs and cats under two years old and farm dogs. We believe this policy balances the need to safeguard animal and human health with vaccinations vs. the need for all of us to limit social interaction.
We have limited appointments available for these urgent vaccination appointments. Again, to relieve pressure on our staff please do not phone about vaccination appointments. Please see our request vaccination appointment page to request a vaccination appointment.
We also offer remote telephone consults for minor complaints and prescription medication checks if you are unable to visit or would prefer not to.
A comprehensive range of general practice veterinary services provided by our experienced and conscientious vet team.
We provide progressive facilities including medicine, surgery, radiography, ultrasound and dentistry.
Services are available within both our Brighton clinic, situated in our flagship hospital in central Brighton, and our sister clinic in Peacehaven.
Priory Emergency Treatment Services (P.E.T.S.) is our dedicated emergency service.

This highly experienced and reliable team provide continuity of care from day through to night, delivering seamless, excellent care, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
